As a student visiting from a foreign country, you want to feel as if you are at home and welcomed by people that care about you. That is the feeling that you will get when you request to be matched with one of our friendly host families. This type of housing accommodation provides you with numerous opportunities to establish friendships and experience meaningful interactions with your host family. You will get to feel as if you were part of the family.

You will be completely immersed in the language and culture of the host family, providing you with a unique and authentic American experience. The family homestay experience often creates a bond that lasts beyond your actual visit.

Host Matching (how it works) Sara's Homestay has over 10 years of experience successfully matching students with homestay families. We try to match you with the best available family or individual, based on both your criteria and the homestay family’s. We take into account your dates of arrival and departure, budget, school location and general interests. We use our extensive database of homestays who have all been pre-screened by us individually.

After making your reservation and paying your deposit, we contact several homestays to see if they have availability for your dates. After matching you with what we feel is the best homestay for you, we send you the "bio" information of the host family for your approval and confirmation. * You make the final decision in accepting our homestay match.

It is important to review our guidelines to become familiar with your responsibilities towards the host family.

Sara's Homestay Matching Service:

Starting the homestay matching process involves the following steps:

• Search for an accommodation by desired location.
• Make a booking in our reservation system.
• We require a $250.00 Deposit  to process the order.
• Upon finding you a homestay match, we will send you a "Bio" that provides you with detailed information regarding the selected host family.
• We don't finalize the homestay until we receive positive confirmation from you first.
